(Philadelphia, PA) - For those who missed it, Pub Webb was the place to be Friday night. February 17, 2017 was the For The Culture Concert. Shizz U sold his show all the way out, showing off a packed house. Supporters, writers, and photographers came out to watch Philadelphia's artists show off their talent. From 8pm to 12am, Everyone danced to their favorite songs, thanks to @DJ1Eleven and charged up with their favorite drinks. The show was perfectly sponsored by For The Culture clothing line. They laced the performers in clothing. Unity is one word to describe the atmosphere from Friday.
The show was hosted by @PrettyGurlB, who's lively energy took control of the room. Her positive vibes and uplifting energy grabbed everyone's attention as she prepared the crowd for each performance. She created a space for laughter and it made everyone excited.
@SadiSuleman opened the show with his smooth sounds and made the crowd sway. Though his sound is relaxing, his energy diffused through the room and loosened up the crowd. Suleman spoke to the ladies in the building Friday, and there was nothing but satisfaction after his set.
@HOBBSismyname slid in next and represented West Philly with a different sound. He glided across the stage, showing off his skills, making us listen through a cappella. Lit.
This was not the first time Shizz U has thrown a great show, and will not be the last. If we rewind back to October, Shizz curated The Franchise Concert at The Barbery, introducing songs from his recent album and sharing the spotlight with other indie artists. For The Culture was presented to Philly to show off our talented artists. It represents coming together and celebrating everyone's talents, instead of creating negative energy. It's all about love.
