Self Care For Men: Self Care Isn’t Just For Women

Self-care is all about taking care of yourself. This is including, but not exclusive to physically, mentally, and spiritually. Whatever you do to make YOU feel better is self-care. I am not sure how it became a female activity, but men need to practice self-care too. Self-care is one of the most important things that men and women can do to better themselves.

There are several benefits to self-care

Self-care is not just a trend. It’s beneficial to you. It refreshes your mind and rejuvenates your body. This is what happens when you focus on self-care:

  1. Your mental health becomes better than before

  2. You perform better

  3. You’re able to love because you love yourself

  4. Your health gets better

  5. A decrease in stress levels

  6. More creativity

Men do not have to participate in face masks and pedicures for self-care

Though face masks and pedicures are not a bad idea for men, here are some things men can do to participate in self-care.

  1. Plan a spa day

  2. Go for a run or walk

  3. Take yourself shopping

  4. Plan a guy’s trip

  5. Take time for yourself. Turn your phone off

  6. Take a bath

  7. Talk to your friends

  8. Ask for help
